I haven't been able to log into my blogger account for the last couple of weeks. I guess one of the viruses our computer has gotten (one of many), is one that blocks blogger and google. Its been a pain--I hate computer viruses.
Last weekend my aunt and uncle moved to a new home, just 3 blocks away from their previous home. I went after working a night shift and joined the rest of my Hewlett family to help. Here are a few pictures from the event..
Kennedy flying Aaron's kite.
I could not believe how high Aaron got his kite (this is not a picture of the highest it got).
Aaron--he chipped bone off his femur during a football game, so he wasn't able to help move things and instead entertained all of us.
Shawn and Zack putting together Megan's bed frame (I helped too :)
Justin and Mike--I didn't realize on my little camera screen that their eyes were closed or I would have retaken it cause otherwise its a fun picture.
These cute little girls must have been having some fun. My mom or aunt ran off with my camera to catch them in the act.
This is my favorite part of the move---we had to transfer the trampoline. We all took a side and carried it down the street and around the corner to the new house. We thought we were pretty funny looking to everyone who drove by.
As we were walking I was trying to help carry and snap some pictures. I took several pictures but most of them didn't turn out great as the frame of the trampoline kept knocking the button to take the picture without focusing first..this is one of the few that turned out. Cute Megan.
Adam and Ben--"why are they on they same side?" my uncle Spencer kept asking as they are the two with the big muscles.
I got a new calling--primary pianist. I'm going to be switching off with another lady in the ward. Now I really need to buy a piano (I've been browsing for one on KSL and looked at a few over the last couple of months). Zak was given a calling and then was called and told they had another calling in mind--we're curious to see what it will be. The 2nd counselor asked Zak today if anyone had called him about it yet. He had been the one that had talked to us before about our callings so now we're wondering who he was referring to.
This weekend our ward had EFA (especially for adults) and had classes and a fireside. It was a great event and the fireside that was presented by Bishop Norton was wonderfully prepared. He talked about image and how much we care about what people think of us. He pulled out a picture of Pres. Hinckley and asked us to say a few things that come to our mind as we looked at his picture--Integrity, humor, love, humility, were just a few that were said. The Bishop went on to describe Pres. Hinckley as being transparent--his image portrayed what he is on the inside because of how he was. He then asked what our image would portray of us. Would it portray our good intentions? Those characterisitcs that Pres. Hinckley lived? I loved his comparison to a prophet that I love dearly. I know that I have many faults and many areas of my life that I need to improve, but I hope that I can better live the way that I want to be remembered and thought of. I'm so grateful for good examples in my life and a Heavenly Father that loves me despite all my many faults. I'm grateful for the atonement and the knowledge that I can be forgiven. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true--and as my old seminary teacher had us say everyday: The church is true, I love you, and I'm a child of God no matter what!

The picture above is what it looked like after Zak pulled out the old, small shelves. I bought the materials to make the new ones but we found the closet was not square like you would expect--they narrowed in the back and so there had to be special attention in sawing to make them fit...and it turned out great!
